I know, I know! I have fallen behind on updating my blog. While there are several things I need to update, I am going to have to get out of order from those things during this week. Because this week we are at the beach in the Seaside area. I have decided to blog this week for several reasons but, the main reason is to have this week documented so, we can remember it always. A friend of mine just reminded me that this will be the last time we will ever be at the beach with just little Grayson. To be honest, I had not really stopped to think about that until she reminded me of it. She is so right, next year at this time Grayson will be almost 38 months (3 years) and baby girl will be 10 months. That is so crazy to think about.
The Beach 2009
This is Grayson second official trip to the beach counting the trip we took when he was 4 months old. Let me start off by saying that we are so grateful for Greg's sweet parents Andrea and Bob for taking us all of a trip to the beach for a week every year. Thank you, thank you Bob and Andrea.
We left yesterday morning around 9:15 Atlanta time. Grayson was fantastic on the was down, he did not cry one time which was wonderful. I owe it all to Elmo and Thomas. It took us about 6 hours including our stop for lunch at Sonic in Dothan, AL. I love, love their Cherry Limeades!
After we arrived we got the car unpacked, went to the grocery store, ate dinner, and took Grayson down to introduce him to the beach which he now calls "the sandbox". At first he did not want Greg to put him down but, once we got to the flatter part of the sand he was fine and he did not want to leave. He loved throwing the sand (we will have to work on that over the week) and he kept saying "I'm Excited"! When we told him we needed to head back for bath time. He got a little sad and kept saying but, "I want sandbox". He will get plenty of "the sandbox' today.
To be continued...
